Children's Christmas Party 2012

This year we organised a Children's Party for the first time. We invited some kids from a neighbouring refugee school to join us in this event. And I think everyone had fun including our own children! Thank God that we had very good weather and also a word of thanks to the hard work by our young people and those that contributed to the food and also in decorating and cleaning up the place!

The Advent or Christmas season is coming. One of the highlights for this year is the Christmas Party for Children to be held on 15 December 2012 (Sat), starting from 4.00 p.m. at the Church premise. This is the first time in recent history that we are organising such a party just for the children. It's going to be fun and memorable. So come and join us to celebrate the Birthday of Jesus!

  

Mid-Autumn Festival 2012

Last Saturday we celebrated for the first time the Mid-Autumn Festival at the home of Wilson and Huei Lou. We had a great time of singing (in Mandarin), story telling, sharing and fellowship after the food. Yes we also celebrated Huei Ying's birthday! And to cap the night, there was a time of playing with the lanterns and lighting of candles! The children had lots of fun and the adults had a time recalling some old childhood memories! Camp 2012 @ PD

We are back from our camp! All thanks and praise to God for His Word to us and the excellent weather during our stay. The camp ended with five people getting baptised. Here are just some highlights from our time there. Do you think we had fun or what? Hope to see more people coming the next time we have such an event! 

Special Ladies Meeting

Last Saturday we just had another ladies meeting with Betty and her South African friend Christelle and family. We had an opportunity to fellowship, hear Christelle's testimony and an appropriate word in facing life crisis by Betty. The last ladies meeting was more than a year ago and it was with Betty also. Perhaps the time is appropriate to have a more regular meeting amongst the ladies! What do you say ladies?

Church Camp 2012

Our family camp for this year will be at Port Dickson Golf & Country Club from June 8-10. It will be held during the last weekend of the school term holidays. The last time we were here was in 2009. But this time round we will have more people attending and as much fun as well! Our theme is on "The Spirit-filled Church" and the speaker is Rev. Fred David. If you have yet to sign up and still would like to join us, just contact sister Sook Yee before it's too late!

In addition to the camp we will be conducting a Water Baptism Service on the last day. All the candidates are currently undergoing their instructions. So we eagerly wait to hear their testimonies and give glory to the Lord!

So now we wait with patience and anticipation for what the Lord would do in our midst!

Easter Evening Special 2012 Updates

We thank the Lord for a lovely evening of food, fellowship, songs and testimonies of the gospel from the Hymnsmen. The spontaneous responses of clapping and singing along was a testimony of the heartfelt songs we once sang! I believed the younger people also enjoyed themselves. It was also the first time that we ever had called for an encore and the group responded favourably with a Mandarin song! For those of you who missed the performance here are some pictures to view and if you want to hear their songs then just borrow from one of us who purchased their CDs or wait for their next performance! Thank you Hymnsmen and brother Michael for sharing the joys of the gospel and making ther Easter evening special for all of us!
